Experience Uncompromised Complexity: Single-Vineyard Mornington Peninsula Pinot Noir
Crafted exclusively for discerning Pinot Noir lovers seeking profound depth and structure, this exceptional wine hails from a prized single vineyard leased from the McFall family on Victoria’s renowned Mornington Peninsula. Embracing traditional methods, we hand-harvest the grapes and employ 100% whole-bunch fermentation using only indigenous wild yeasts. This meticulous approach, with 17 days on skins and stalks, gently extracts captivating colour, sophisticated tannins, and unparalleled complexity directly from the grape’s natural components.
Aged naturally for 14 months in French oak barrels (22% new) without fining or filtration, the wine achieves a pure expression of its terroir. Discover a mesmerizing mid-purple hue leading to an enticing bouquet: ripe black raspberry and cherry dance with exotic cinnamon, star anise spice, and an earthy savouriness. Delicate notes of orange rind and Campari emerge gracefully, signature whispers of the whole-bunch process.
On the palate, experience a vibrant core of juicy red cherry fruit beautifully balanced by evocative woodsy nuances – think aromatic rosemary, fragrant lavender, dried autumn leaves, and forest floor whispers. Fine-grained tannins provide an elegant yet firm structure, seamlessly integrated with a refreshing tangy acidity that ensures vibrancy and exceptional drinkability. This complex Australian Pinot Noir offers a truly distinctive and memorable experience for the sophisticated enthusiast.
