Crafted from 100% Concerto barley grown at Arbikie’s renowned estate in Scotland’s Highlands, this spirit is matured in rare ex-Woodford Reserve rye whiskey casks for nearly six years on Raasay’s windswept shores. The result is a vibrant expression blending island terroir with rich rye influences—think bright citrus notes balanced by warm spice and velvety vanilla sweetness.
Every stage—from three-to-five-day fermentation using DistilaMax MW yeast to bottling—is completed onsite at Raasay’s distillery under Master Distiller Alasdair Day’s meticulous supervision. Only 15 select rye barrels were chosen for their complexity and consistency before being bottled at 50.2% ABV without chill filtration or artificial coloring, preserving its natural depth and purity.
On the nose, zesty green apple and banana mingle with candied plum over hints of vanilla bean and warm spice. The palate unfolds with layers of gingerbread spice, stewed fruits, and caramelized sugar before finishing on a peppery note of pine sap, fresh mint leaves, and dark chocolate richness—a testament to its unique maturation journey.
