Hampshire Chalk Downland Chardonnay-Pinot Noir Blend
Crafted from an exquisite marriage of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes, this limited-edition English sparkling wine embodies the unique terroir of Hampshire’s chalk downlands. Grown just 8 miles from our Overton vineyard in the pristine Candover Valley, each bottle reflects meticulous craftsmanship and heritage winemaking techniques.
Exceptional Barrel Selection & Aging Process
Only 7 of 180 oak barrels met our exacting standards after rigorous tasting trials. Fermented entirely in barrel and aged for 8 months in 4-5-year-old French oak, this wine develops a refined complexity. Post-bottling, it rests for 30 months on lees and a further 6 months under cork—ensuring a creamy texture and vibrant effervescence worthy of special occasions.
Why Choose This English Sparkling Wine?
– Single-Estate Excellence: Sourced from prime chalk soils, ideal for crisp acidity and mineral depth.
– Artisan Production: Hand-selected batches with extended aging for superior balance.
– Food Pairing Versatility: Complements seafood, soft cheeses, and celebratory toasts effortlessly.
Ideal for collectors and enthusiasts seeking a boutique alternative to Champagne, this small-batch sparkling wine delivers layered notes of green apple, toasted brioche, and citrus—a testament to Hampshire’s rising prominence in premium winemaking.
